LaRoche Scholar | Founding Cohort 2026
Tristan Gibbs is a graduating senior at West Orange High School in New Jersey with aspirations of pursuing a career in Nursing. Motivated by a genuine desire to help others and make a meaningful impact in people’s lives, Tristan plans to use his education and future career in healthcare to serve individuals and communities with compassion and care.

Throughout his academic journey, Tristan has demonstrated perseverance, resilience, and determination while overcoming educational challenges and continuing to push toward his goals. His commitment to higher education and service has already resulted in acceptances to several colleges and universities, including Temple University, Delaware State University, Pace University, Coppin State University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Montclair State University, Cheyney University, Shaw University, Kean University/New Jersey City University, University at Albany, and LeMoyne-Owen College.

As a member of the LaRoche Scholars Network, Tristan represents the importance of persistence, purpose, and believing in the power of opportunity. His journey reflects the spirit of students who continue striving toward their future despite obstacles along the way.
