RULES

2026–2027 Scholarship Champion Award™

Official Rules

PURPOSE

The Scholarship Champion Award™ is part of the 2026–2027 LaRoche Scholar Awards™ and recognizes initiative, persistence and consistent action in pursuing scholarship opportunities.

Winning a scholarship is not entirely within a scholar’s control.

Applying is.

The Scholarship Champion Award™ will recognize the eligible LaRoche Scholar who completes the highest number of verified qualifying external scholarship applications during the official award period.

MULTIPLE AWARDS. MULTIPLE WAYS TO BE RECOGNIZED.

The Scholarship Champion Award™ is one of multiple awards that will be presented as part of the 2026–2027 LaRoche Scholar Awards™.

Awards may recognize achievement in areas including:

Scholarship Initiative • Leadership • Academic Excellence • Community Impact • College & Career Readiness

Additional award categories and criteria will be announced throughout the academic year.

Scholars may be eligible to receive more than one LaRoche Scholar Award.

ELIGIBILITY

To participate in the Scholarship Champion Challenge, a scholar must:

  • Be an active LaRoche Scholar in good standing.
  • Register for the challenge by the published registration deadline.
  • Follow the competition and verification requirements.

Registration is required.

AWARD PERIOD

The competition begins:

September 1, 2026

The closing date and final submission deadline will be announced by The LaRoche Foundation.

Scholarship applications completed on or after September 1, 2026, may be counted, provided the scholar registers by the registration deadline and submits the required verification.

Applications completed before September 1, 2026, will not count.

WHAT COUNTS?

A qualifying application must be for a legitimate external scholarship for which the scholar meets the basic eligibility requirements.

The application must:

  • Be completed during the official award period.
  • Be submitted completely and accurately.
  • Meet the scholarship’s basic eligibility requirements.
  • Be recorded through LaRoche’s designated tracking process.
  • Include acceptable documentation verifying submission.

Each verified qualifying scholarship application counts as one application.

WHAT DOES NOT COUNT?

The following will not count:

  • Incomplete or unsubmitted applications.
  • Duplicate submissions for the same scholarship.
  • Applications for which the scholar clearly does not meet eligibility requirements.
  • Fraudulent, altered, misleading or unverifiable submissions.
  • Applications completed outside the official award period.
  • Opportunities determined by The LaRoche Foundation not to be legitimate external scholarships.

Quality matters.

The purpose of the challenge is to encourage scholars to consistently pursue legitimate scholarship opportunities—not simply generate application numbers.

VERIFICATION

Scholars must maintain documentation verifying each application.

Acceptable documentation may include:

  • Submission confirmation emails.
  • Screenshots of completed submission pages.
  • Scholarship portal records showing submitted or completed status.
  • Other documentation accepted by The LaRoche Foundation.

The LaRoche Foundation may request additional documentation when necessary.

Only verified, completed applications will count toward official totals.

SCHOLARSHIPS WON

Scholars should report scholarships received during the challenge.

Scholarship dollars won do not determine the Scholarship Champion.

The primary competition metric is the number of verified qualifying scholarship applications completed.

Scholarships won and scholarship dollars earned may be separately recognized and included in LaRoche Foundation impact reporting.

LEADERBOARD

The LaRoche Foundation may publish and periodically update a Scholarship Champion Leaderboard.

The leaderboard may include:

Scholar Name • Verified Applications

Collective impact may also be reported:

Applications Submitted • Scholarships Won • Scholarship Dollars Earned

Applications awaiting verification may not immediately appear in leaderboard totals.

DETERMINING THE SCHOLARSHIP CHAMPION

At the conclusion of the award period, The LaRoche Foundation will review all qualifying submissions.

The eligible scholar with the highest final number of verified qualifying scholarship applications will be named:

🏆 2026–2027 SCHOLARSHIP CHAMPION

TIE-BREAKER

If two or more scholars finish with the same number of verified qualifying applications, the scholar with the greater number of documented scholarship awards received during the award period will rank higher.

If a tie remains, total documented scholarship dollars awarded will serve as the next tie-breaker.

If a tie still remains, The LaRoche Foundation may recognize multiple Scholarship Champions.

THE AWARD

🏆 2026–2027 Scholarship Champion

Cash/Scholarship Award — Amount To Be Announced

The LaRoche Foundation is seeking a corporate partner to sponsor the inaugural Scholarship Champion Award™.

Additional recognition may also be provided.

INTEGRITY

Submission of false, altered, misleading or fraudulent information may result in removal of applications from a scholar’s total or disqualification from the challenge.

The LaRoche Foundation reserves the right to determine whether a submission satisfies the published requirements.
