About
Jonathan L. Jordan
Jonathan L. Jordan, M.S.
Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships | Morehouse College
Helping Students Navigate the Financial Side of Opportunity
Jonathan L. Jordan is a higher education professional with more than a decade of experience in financial aid administration, student support, and operational leadership. As Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships at Morehouse College, he helps advance the systems and resources that enable students and families to access and afford higher education.
Before joining Morehouse, Jordan served in progressively responsible financial aid roles at Texas A&M University–Commerce, including Associate Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships, Assistant Director, and Financial Aid Advisor. His work has included federal and state loan administration, financial aid systems, compliance, student advising, outreach, and long-term planning designed to improve access to financial resources.
Turning Complex Systems Into Student Opportunity
Financial aid can be one of the most complicated parts of the college journey. Jordan’s work sits at the intersection of policy, technology, operations, and student service.
His experience includes:
- Financial aid and scholarship administration
- Federal and state regulatory compliance
- Student loan systems and reporting
- Financial aid technology and process improvement
- Student and family outreach
- Scholarship and college-affordability guidance
- Strategic planning and operational excellence
His focus on improving systems is ultimately about improving the student experience — making financial aid processes easier to navigate and helping students obtain the resources they need to continue their education.
Leadership Beyond the Financial Aid Office
Jordan is also an educator, public speaker, mentor, and community leader. He has presented at professional conferences, facilitated conversations on workplace diversity, and supported initiatives focused on student development and educational access.
