Nah’Ajia James is a senior at Academy at Palumbo preparing to pursue higher education at a four-year institution with a clear goal: to become a pediatrician dedicated to caring for children in need.

Driven by both compassion and purpose, Nah’Ajia aspires to be more than a healthcare provider—she aims to be someone her future patients can trust, especially during difficult moments when they need to feel heard, supported, and understood.

In addition to her academic focus, Nah’Ajia is deeply involved in athletics and team-based activities. She has been dancing from a young age, has cheered for four years, and currently plays flag football. These experiences have strengthened her discipline, teamwork, and leadership—qualities she plans to carry into her future medical career.

Nah’Ajia’s commitment to excellence is reflected in her academic achievements, including Straight A Honor Roll recognition and being named Student of the Quarter. She is supported by her school counselor, Chloe Gerbec, as she continues to navigate the college process and prepare for the next chapter of her journey.

As a member of the LaRoche Scholars Founding Cohort 2026, Nah’Ajia represents a student who is not only academically driven, but also guided by empathy, resilience, and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Her long-term vision is to create eco-friendly spaces that foster community engagement and sustainable living. Rayannah is excited to deepen her knowledge, collaborate with peers, and learn from experienced faculty as she prepares to innovate and leave her mark on the architectural world.
